About

Before founding Longshaw Advisory as an international communications growth consultancy, I spent 18 years working all over the world for major journalism organisations, specialist corporates and agencies.

  • I’ve run communications, external affairs and marketing within companies, large and small, developing projects and technologies in energy, natural resources, climate, sciences and engineering.

  • I’ve been part of fantastic agency teams packed with talented professionals and managed agencies as a client myself.

  • I’ve edited and reported for The Financial Times Group, North American, GCC and African-focused news organisations with strong focus on energy, natural resources, industrials and capital markets

I have written it, pitched it, run it and done it: “Scooping” multibillion dollar natural resources deals, running media activity at UN climate change conferences, launching space industry tech campaigns and shaping international Government Strategy policy-making.

However, Longshaw Advisory is more than me; It can convene teams with experts based on individual client needs across communications, marketing, investment, academia, public affairs and much more.

It is a privilege to be entrusted with communicating meaningful ambition and impact and the ways we do so are constantly changing. So are the needs of clients, budgets, and what valuable strategic communications, marketing and public relations look like.

From the outset, Longshaw Advisory’s approach benefits from being founded in - and grounded by - the “no-nonsense” ethos of South Yorkshire’s rapidly developing tech community, in the UK’s engineering and industrial heartland, with global reach.

I’m passionate about my work, who I work with and making a difference. If you feel the same, let’s have a conversation about what matters to you.
